A Night of Lights

After a weekend full of Nutcracker fun, we capped it off with a trip to the Winter Light Fest park for the preview night of the Christmas lights.

This is a park of different interactive lighting installations with a walking trail. Regular admission is a fundraiser for the local United Way foundation, but the hospital where Steven works is a large donor, so we were able to go on the preview night ahead of the crowds. It took us about an hour to walk through everything and it was so pretty!

They had a live Santa, but the kids were more interested in running through the trails and lights than talking with him just yet, and I didn’t push it because that’s how we end up with pictures that look like they are being held hostage 😂 On a typical night, they have vendors with food and souvenirs, so we missed that, but we also missed the crowds so I think we got the better end of the deal 😉

Overall it was a 10/10 and so fun! Only 28 days until Christmas! 🙂
