Happy Friday! We’ve had a shorter than usual week around here, but I’m still glad it’s time for the weekend!
We kicked off last weekend with the start of basketball season for OIivia. We got to play our game at our new intermediate school and it was so nice! Plus, I enjoyed only having to drive 10 minutes versus the 30-35 to “town” 😉. Her team tried their best and did really well for a bunch of littles literally learning the game of basketball as they play. Liv had so much fun, especially the after game donuts and Sunny D.

Like I mentioned in my 3 Thoughts post yesterday, freezing temps hit on Saturday afternoon and stayed through Wednesday. We went to church and lunch at Steven’s parents’ house before afternoon basketball practice on Sunday.
We didn’t have school on Monday, so we had a nice day at home snuggled up and working around the house. Steven finished up a little early, so we all went out to the ranch to check water for the cows, and then grabbed a quick dinner from Chick fil A. Even though the temperatures were below freezing for several days, we never got much moisture, so everything was really business as usual, just really, really cold.
Tuesday was typical- school, preschool, pilates. After school, we went to ballet while Steven went to check water at the ranch. I made a pork butt in the crock pot through the day, so we got to come home to pulled pork sliders. We are working our way through The Chosen on Amazon Prime, and we’re a little bit into the third season, so we watched an episode before doing all the bath time, story time, prayer time routine with the kids.
Wednesday was supposed to be typical, and I treated it like so for the first half. Henry woke up with a swollen, red, gunky eye, but it improved with a warm washcloth and time, so we went to BSF as normal and then to lunch with Steven. At lunch, Steven felt like it looked a little too much like pink eye to let it ride, so we got him into the pediatrician right after school pick up. He was diagnosed with a viral eye infection- not pink eye, but still contagious enough he has been in quarantine the last few days. While we were at the doctor, Steven and Livy treated themselves to Insomnia cookies (which they shared when they got home), and checked water at the ranch (are you sensing a pattern here? 😂). We missed regular Wednesday night church since Henry couldn’t go, and had an early night.
Henry and I stayed home on Thursday while he recovered. Overall it was a pretty quiet week and we have a pretty quiet weekend planned! Happy Friday!

I have an Olívia too 🥰 it’s such a beautiful name. Mine is a bit younger at almost 2 months old.
Olivia’s are the best! I feel like ours was just that little and we blinked and now she’s almost 6! Enjoy it!
